Job summary

Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, seeks a CDL A Driver at our Romulus, MI location to support field operations and ensure safe, compliant transportation of materials. The role involves daily logging, receipts, and maintenance records, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency in all activities.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL A with interstate endorsement, and be prepared for pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL A).
• Pre-Employment background check, physical, and hair drug screen required.
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be performed.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Class A CDL Interstate Endorsement required.
• Experience in heavy haul or doubles is a plus; training available.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily field service activities, including preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records.
• Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as company expectations for the Fleet.
• Maintains a clean and safe vehicle.
• Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.

Location: Romulus, MI Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a CDL A Driver at our Romulus, MI location.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Completes daily field service activities, including preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records.
• Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet;
• maintains a clean and safe vehicle
• Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's license.
• Pre-Employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required.

• Class A CDL Interstate Endorsement.
• Previous experience in a heavy haul or doubles is a plus; however, we will train the right individual.
