Responsibilities

Follow all rules and VHSL regulations as assigned by Norfolk School Board and school administration.
Conduct pre-season meetings with athletes and parents to explain eligibility and requirements.
Plan daily practice schedules and manage team activities.
Provide VHSL eligibility lists to the school athletic director seven days before the first game.
Attend professional in-service clinics to improve coaching performance.
Issue and maintain equipment, and arrange storage after the season.
Ensure safety and proper conduct during practices and games; secure facilities after use.
Maintain inventories and award lists after the season; coordinate with team physician and athletic trainer.
Promote positive communication with parents, booster clubs, and community groups.
