Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking a JV Assistant Football Coach for Albemarle High School. This part-time, temporary role requires previous football coaching experience and a strong commitment to mentoring young athletes. The successful applicant will be involved in the development of high school student-athletes, organizing practices and instilling principles of teamwork and sportsmanship. Knowledge of VHSL rules is essential. Position may require travel.

Qualifications

• Previous football coaching experience is mandatory.
• Experience working with young adults in a coaching role is required.
• Strong communication skills and organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and train student-athletes.
• Organize practice schedules and instill discipline.
• Provide instruction and mentorship to athletes.

Skills

Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations

Positive relations with student-athletes, parents, and community

Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules

Teamwork and good sportsmanship emphasis

Coaching/mentoring experience

Education

Virginia teaching license (preferred)
