Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida seeks an experienced athletic director to plan, implement, and administer a comprehensive interscholastic program for middle and high schools. You will assist principals in selecting directors and coaches, and develop schedules across fall, winter, and spring seasons.

You will coordinate game-day operations, ensure safety compliance, and support district events with external associations, while maintaining familiarity with relevant FHSAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of full-time teaching experience, including athletic director experience.
• Demonstrated experience directing a comprehensive interscholastic athletic program.
• Knowledge of Florida High School Athletic Association rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and administer comprehensive interscholastic athletic program for middle and high school levels.
• Assist principals in selecting and developing athletic directors and coaches.
• Develop fall, winter and spring sport schedules for middle/high school contests.
• Coordinate game day operations and safety for district-sponsored events.
• Organize district athletic events and trainings with external associations.
