Qualifications

• Proof of certification with the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC)
• Certification and registration with the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy
• Must meet WV Department of Education requirements for Athletic Trainer Authorization
• Able to pass FBI background check

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to student athletes under physician direction or written referral
• Maintain treatment orders and annual review with the team physician
• Manage athletic healthcare program budget and records
• Attend pre-participation physicals and athletic events as assigned
• Coordinate with doctors, school district staff, athletes and parents to ensure safety and compliance
