Qualifications

• Must hold WV license for medical services (e.g., chiropractor, PT, RN, LPN, PA, paramedic, OT, EMT) or WV Registered Athletic Trainer.
• Must meet WV DOE requirements for LimitedSportsTrainer or Athletic Trainer Authorization.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass FBI background check.
• Must complete required staff development and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to student athletes under direction of team physician.
• Maintain general treatment orders reviewed annually with team physician.
• Cover pre-season physicals, games, scrimmages, and related events.
• Serve as liaison between family physicians, specialists, school district, athletes and parents.
• Maintain records of injuries and treatments; provide insurance claim forms.
