Job summary

Richland School District 2 is seeking interpreters for Multilingual Learners to provide oral interpretation during meetings and translate both written materials and verbal exchanges. This role supports families who require communication in a primary language other than English.

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English and a foreign language by completing one of the Education/Certification options.

Under general supervision, enhances the success of Multilingual Learners; provides oral interpretation during meetings; provides translations of written materials and verbal exchanges; extends school and District efforts to reach out to families who require oral or written communication in a Primary Language other than English.

Evidence of language proficiency in both English and a Foreign Language by completion of at least one of the following options in Education or Certification.

• In-Person Pay Rate: $70.00 for the first hour; $35.00 for each subsequent hour
• Virtual/Phone Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour
