Job summary
Williamsville Central School District in East Amherst, NY is seeking a per diem interpreter/translator to provide word-for-word oral translation for state and district assessments and interpretation for parent conferences and school activities. Attendees must be physically present and live locally.
As a part-time, independent contractor role, hours vary based on district need. Applicants must complete NYS fingerprinting and fluent in English and the target language. Per diem scheduling applies.
Qualifications

- Must live locally (attendance is required to translate/interpret).
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.

- Must physically be in attendance in order to interpret/translate.
Qualifications:
- Must complete NYS Education Department Fingerprinting clearance. (Please note that there is a fee for the fingerprinting if you have not been previously fingerprinted through the NYS Education Dept.)
- Must speak fluent English as well as read, speak and write fluently in language being translated.
