Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah seeks a part-time Language Services Coordinator to dispatch and coordinate interpretation requests across hospitals and clinics. The role involves prioritizing requests, contacting interpreters and translators, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of services.

You will track requests, maintain records, and communicate with staff to set expectations and timelines. The position is PRN/as-needed with varied day and swing shifts, primarily Monday through Friday

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, call center, or clerical work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• Preferred: healthcare experience; EPIC knowledge; bilingual skills incl. Tongan, Samoan, Marshallese, Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch, prioritize, and coordinate interpretation/translation requests across facilities.
• Use guidelines to assess services needed and allocate resources accordingly.
• Coordinate between staff and interpreters or translators and monitor worklists.
• Provide timely responses and estimated arrival times for interpretations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data consistency across platforms.
