Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools seeks an Interpreter/Educational Assistant to support Deaf students in elementary and/or high school settings.

You will collaborate with teachers, Deaf role models and peers to facilitate communication and learning, ensuring inclusive access to education across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is fluent in ASL and has Deaf culture experience, preferably with ASL interpreter program training.

Competenze

• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience with Deaf culture and the Deaf community.
• Preference for graduates from an ASL interpreter training program.
• Training or experience with elementary students.
• Ability to mentor children with varied learning needs and language levels.
• Effective teamwork with Teacher of the Deaf, Deaf role model, teachers and other interpreters.
• Successful related experience.

Job Summary

A position as an Interpreter/Educational Assistant for Deaf students in an elementary and/or high school setting.

Required Qualifications

• Salary range - $31.56 - $36.20 per hour
