Job summary

Chambers invites interior design interns to collaborate with designers and architects on exclusive hospitality and lifestyle projects. You will touch all design stages from master planning to presentations under senior staff supervision.

Interns contribute to conceptual and schematic work, assist with budgets and document coordination, and gain exposure to professional networks through ASID, NEWH, IIDA, and AIA groups.

Qualifications

• Be a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree.
• Passion and aptitude for high-end hospitality and/or residential design.
• Proactive attitude with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to conceptual, schematic, and design development phases.
• Assist in budgets, redlines of construction documents, and construction administration.

INTERNSHIPS

Looking for a well-rounded interior design internship that will give you a taste of professional life? Then you have found your match!

Position Description

Chambers' interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with interior designers and architects on exclusive private club, hospitality, and lifestyle design projects. Interns will be an integral part of the team, touching all aspects of the design process, including master planning, programming, research and development, concept design, color and material selection, and preparation of design boards and presentations.

Interns will be charged with contributing to conceptual designs, schematic designs, and design development phases of projects under the direction of senior studio designers and architects, and will also become acquainted with administrative aspects of the profession by assisting in the preparation of budgets, picking up red lines of construction documents, and assisting in construction administration. Additionally, this internship will provide the opportunity to network with other design professionals through student organizations like ASID, NEWH, IIDA, AIA, and more.

Qualified Candidates Should

• Be a junior or senior working towards completing a Bachelors or Masters degree
• Have a passion and aptitude for high-end hospitality and/or residential design
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude and a proven ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently
• Be familiar with AutoCAD, REVIT, or other BIM software, in addition to Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong sketching abilities preferred
