Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a software development intern to contribute to the full .NET stack, including VB.NET and C#, while learning modern HTML/JavaScript techniques. You’ll work with mentors and participate in stand-ups, demos and retrospectives to deliver features and improve code quality.

The role supports testing, documentation and hands-on practice across projects in Milwaukee and Madison, with hybrid work and a strong emphasis on learning and career development.

Job description

Requirements

• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information systems or related degree
• Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later
• Previous experience or exposure to one or more of: VB.NET, C#, SQL Server, WCF Service, Java, Object-Oriented Design
• Experience with software development preferred
• Passion for writing software and learning the latest software development techniques
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented software design
• Experience or completed coursework in Python, SQL, data visualization or related analytical tools preferred
• Ability to work three days per week in downtown Milwaukee, WI or downtown Madison, WI and two days remotely
• Ability to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week
• Ability to work part time during school semesters, 15-20 hours per week
• Must be a local student
• Available to start in June 2027
• Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status
