We're offering a unique internship program designed to immerse you in the heart of our operations, providing hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:As an intern, you'll be more than just an observer. You'll be an integral part of our team, working alongside experienced Scouters to:Gain firsthand knowledge of the non-profit sector and the impact of our programs.Hone your communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Assist with program development, fundraising initiatives, marketing campaigns, and more.Receive personalized mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals.Fulfill your high school, college, or university internship requirements (12-16 weeks).What You'll Be Doing:Collaborating with a professional Scouter for approximately 20 hours per week.Documenting your learning journey through weekly activity logs.Participating in mid-term and final evaluations with your mentor.Attending meetings, training, and activities to explore diverse career paths within Scouting.Completing assigned projects and tasks.Becoming a member of Scouting America and upholding the Scout Oath and Law.Qualifications:High School diploma, college students, recent graduates, or currently enrolled high school junior or senior.A genuine interest in the non-profit sector and/or Scouting America.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Prior non-profit experience or coursework in fundraising, management, or marketing (a plus!).Strong organizational, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.A commitment to the values of the Scout Oath and Law.Reliable transportation is required.Schedule and hours are negotiable.Areas of Impact:Explore diverse areas within our organization, including:Communications, Business Administration, Education, Fundraising, Marketing, Philanthropy, Sales, Social Services, and Non-Profit AdministrationYour Reward:$15.00 per hour.Mileage reimbursement for occasional travel within service area.Invaluable experience in a dynamic non-profit environment.Mentorship from experienced professionals.Opportunity to make a tangible difference in your community.A great addition to your college applications.Networking opportunities.Apply today and become a part of the Greater St. Louis Area Scouting family!
