Job summary

Wells Enterprises, a Ferrero company, invites you to join our Quality Assurance internship in Le Mars, Iowa. You will support lab operations, assist in data entry, and contribute to a range of QA initiatives while gaining exposure to both routine tests and special projects.

You’ll work with a small lab team on daily controls, pathogen shadowing, and cross-functional collaboration to support product quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree that aligns with the internship and coursework.
• Prefer entering Junior or Senior year of a 4-year program.
• Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience in technical fields is a plus.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential.
• Effective presentation and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational and administrative functions as it relates to academic major.
• Independently work on special projects assigned by functional leader.
• Assist in implementing functional strategies and contribute to the team's success in reaching goals and objectives.
• Support the departmental deliverables and be proactive in planning and supporting tasks.
• Scanning, weighing, and plating Finished Products, Ingredients, In-process samples, and special requests for general lab testing.
• Reading general lab test results and entering these into a computer database.
• Assisting in the media room.
• Working as a team member of a small lab group.
• Completing Daily/Weekly lab controls.
• Job shadowing in the Pathogen Lab (Listeria and Salmonella testing).

What You’ll Bring

• Have an applicable degree program and coursework that corresponds with the internship applied for.
• Prefer entering their Junior/Senior year of a 4-year degree program.
• Prefer a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Applicable experience within the technical fields preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact and collaborate with a variety of individuals in a professional manner.
