Job summary

Hunkemöller offers an internship in Controlling & Reporting starting February 2027. You will support monthly closings, assist with year-end audits, and help with monthly reporting and cost analysis.

Qualifications

• WO or HBO student in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and interest in financial data.

Internship Controlling & Reporting

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Supporting the year-end audit by gathering and preparing the required information and documentation.
• Assisting the Controlling team with monthly reporting and analysis of financial performance.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly cost reports, including actuals versus budget.
• Supporting initiatives to improve financial processes, reporting and data quality.
• Assisting the Controlling team with ad-hoc financial analyses and projects.

What we’re looking for:

• WO or HBO student in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Excel and an interest in working with financial data.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Accurate and numerate.
• Hands on and able to work towards deadlines.
• Curious, eager to learn and interested in understanding the business behind the numbers.
• Good communication skills and comfortable working in an international environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
• Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
• Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.

Eligibility Criteria

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2027. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, or (2) your university is willing to sign a third‑party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
