Qualifications

• Студент/ка по Data Engineering, CS, DS, Information Management или смежной технической области.
• Базовые знания SQL и желание использовать его для анализа и трансформации данных.
• Опыт или интерес к изучению Python.
• Интерес к пайплайнам данных, облачным платформам и автоматизации.
• Аналитический подход к проблемам и способность работать автономно и в команде.
• Готовность общаться на английском языке как устно, так и письменно.

Responsibilities

• Помощь в проектировании, построении и улучшении автоматизированных пайплайнов данных для анализа и отчетности.
• Разработка и поддержка трансформаций данных для формирования чистых наборов.
• Проверка данных и внедрение контроля качества.
• Поддержка мониторинга и оповещений по пайплайнам данных.
• Расследование проблем пайплайнов и причин неполадок с поиском устойчивых решений.
• Документация наборов данных, потоков данных и технических процессов.
• Участие в управлении данными: классификация, lineage и ответственность.
• Анализ использования, производительности и затрат на продукты данных и предложения по улучшению.
• Поддержка миграции устаревших пайплайнов и моделей.
• Работа над потребностями в данных вместе с инженерами данных, аналитиками и бизнес-заинтересованными сторонами.

Задачи:

• Help design, build and improve automated data pipelines that collect data from source systems, files or APIs and make it available for analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain data transformations that convert raw data into clean, reliable and reusable datasets.
• Perform data validation and implement data quality checks to identify missing, inconsistent or unexpected data.
• Support monitoring and alerting for data pipelines, helping the team detect failures, delays and anomalies.
• Investigate pipeline or data-quality issues, identify their root causes and contribute to sustainable solutions.
• Document datasets, data flows, business definitions and technical processes to improve data discovery and maintainability.
• Contribute to data governance activities such as data classification, lineage, ownership and documentation standards.
• Analyse the usage, performance and cost of data products and recommend opportunities for improvement or simplification.
• Support the migration or modernisation of legacy data pipelines and models.
• Work with data engineers, analytics engineers, BI specialists and stakeholders from different business functions to translate data needs into practical solutions.

• You are currently pursuing a degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or a related technical field.
• You have a foundation in SQL and are interested in using it to explore, validate and transform data.
• You have some experience with, or an interest in learning, a programming or scripting language such as Python.
• You are interested in data pipelines, data modelling, cloud data platforms, automation or data governance.
• You approach problems analytically and are comfortable investigating why data or processes do not behave as expected.
• You are curious about how data supports different parts of an international retail organisation.
• You are eager to learn modern data engineering practices and apply them in a real business environment.
• You can work independently while also collaborating effectively with technical colleagues and business stakeholders.
• You can communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Work From Home (WFH) Policy:

For 40-hour internships, you are allowed to work from home up to 3 days per week, depending on the nature of your role. During onboarding, WFH days may vary to better support your learning and training.

Internship Allowance:

450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).

Travel Allowance:

Max. 11,50€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.

Eligibility Criteria:

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2027. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply: You are an EU citizen, You are on a Family/Partner visa, or You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
