A regional specialty services provider is seeking an Internship - Architectural Project Assistant in Golden Valley, MN. As an Architectural Project Assistant Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting exciting commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finish. You’ll help track project milestones, assist with coordination, and collaborate with our team to ensure projects run smoothly and meet client expectations. At the end of the program, you’ll showcase what you’ve learned in a final presentation to the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with project coordination: Support the team in organizing and executing assigned projects, ensuring tasks align with business requirements and established practices.
  • Help monitor progress: Track project status and milestones, report updates to your supervisor, and flag any potential issues. Learn how corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support scheduling and deadlines: Work with the team to make sure project priorities are met and timelines stay on track.
  • Follow safety standards: Learn and apply company safety policies and procedures in all tasks.
  • Collaborate with the department: Work closely with team members to help improve efficiency and support solutions that meet project goals.
  • Present your experience: Prepare and deliver a short presentation at the end of your internship summarizing what you learned and contributed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
  • To qualify for this internship, you must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited college, OR
    • An undergraduate student who has completed at least two years of post‑high school education
    • Preferred fields of study include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • We’re looking for interns who are eager to learn and bring a positive, collaborative attitude. Here’s what will help you succeed in this role:
    • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Interest in or exposure to tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam/Adobe Pro, estimating software, or project management platforms such as Procore or Primavera (training provided if needed).
    • Comfort using mobile technology (experience with iPhone/iPad is a plus).
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to stay organized, manage tasks, and work effectively with a team.
    • A professional and ethical approach when representing the company and working with others.
Other Details
  • This position will report regularly in person to Golden Valley, MN.
  • Anticipated to begin in May or June 2026 and run through August 2026, aligning with typical academic schedules.
  • Work Hours: This is a full‑time internship, approximately 40 hours per week during the program period.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites if needed.
  • All offers of employment are expressly contingent upon the satisfactory completion, in accordance with Company policy, of a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.

  • The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $17.50‑$26.00. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
