Job summary

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona in Mesa invites board-certified internal medicine specialists or residents to join a 24-hour AAHA accredited facility with access to advanced imaging and a collaborative team.

You will work with surgeons, critical care, oncology and neurology, contribute to teaching interns and residents, and participate in clinical studies.

Qualifications

  • DVM degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing or ability to obtain in-state licensure.
  • Residency trained or Diplomate board certification in internal medicine.
  • Commitment to high standard of medicine and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal medicine care as a board-certified or residency-trained specialist.
  • Collaborate with surgery, radiology and critical care teams.
  • Mentor interns and residents and contribute to teaching.
  • Engage in clinical studies and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Two Sound/Eklin DR systems, 64-slice CT, 1.5 Tesla MRI, Logiq 9 US, DRE monitors, Storz Video Endoscopy & C-arm fluoroscopy, newly designed minimally invasive surgical suite, USP 800 compliant oncology suite.

  • Two high quality ultrasounds, a full range of endoscopy equipment

  • Home to year-round professional baseball, football, basketball & hockey

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent

  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain

  • Residency Trained or Diplomate Board Certification

  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
