Job summary

AWS Network Engineering Organization seeks a Network Development Engineer to join the Internet Edge team in Seattle. You’ll deploy and scale network infrastructure, collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers, and help implement automation to support high-volume, global data center connectivity.

As part of Internet Edge, you’ll design external connectivity for thousands of networks, drive capacity growth, and work with internal customers to translate designs into production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics that supports AWS services.
• Deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global datacenters.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet the demand of our customers.
• Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.
• Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
• Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at higher volume.
