Job summary

Thompson Coburn LLP, a large full-service law firm, seeks an International Trade Analyst in Washington, DC. You will analyze data, support attorneys in the International Trade practice, and help clients understand trade data, compliance, and reporting.

After in-office training, the role offers a hybrid-remote schedule. The ideal candidate has advanced Excel and Power BI skills, experience with large datasets, and a strong interest in international trade and sanctions/export control compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field (Business, International Trade, Economics, etc.).
• Two or more years of experience in international trade compliance or financial services due diligence required.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and dashboards.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis in Excel and Power BI; prepare reports from large data sets.
• Due diligence support and analysis using compliance databases for sanctions and PEP checks.
• Tariff classification and merchandise classification for import/export.
