The U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of the General Counsel, Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce (OCC-IC) seeks full-time attorneys to support international trade and investment policy. This Attorney-Advisor role provides legal guidance to the International Trade Administration on cross-border matters in a fast-paced federal environment.

A JD or LL.M. and active bar membership are required, with 1–5 years of specialized experience preferred for GS-12–GS-14 levels.

Qualificações

• J.D. or LL.M. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in the U.S. (40 states/DC/territory).
• Strong research, writing and editing abilities; clear communicator.
• Experience related to international trade, investment policy, or government work.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal support to the International Trade Administration on trade and investment matters.
• Perform legal analysis, draft opinions and memoranda, and identify legal risks.
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients under tight deadlines.
