Sumitomo Electric Lightwave Corp. in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Import Export Coordinator to manage daily export documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and respond to inquiries from carriers, brokers, and customers to keep shipments on track.

You will manually create international shipments with UPS, FedEx, or DHL, prepare commercial invoices and shipper’s letters, audit invoices, and coordinate air, sea, and road transport with brokers and 3PL partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in import/export or logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Formal international logistics training or certification preferred.
• Strong English written and spoken communication.
• Proficient with Excel and logistics software (ERP, MS Office).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review export documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond to questions from carriers, brokers, customers, and internal teams to facilitate shipments.
• Manually create international shipments with UPS, FedEx, or DHL per customer instructions.
• Coordinate air, ocean, and land transportation with brokers and 3PL partners.
• Audit invoices and entry packets for accuracy of freight, duties, and broker charges.
• Determine HTS, ECCN classifications and assign codes to goods.
