Gamoran Legal Consulting in Washington, D.C. is seeking an International Trade Associate with 3–5 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience to advise U.S. and multinational clients on sophisticated customs, import compliance, and related matters.

The role offers hands-on mentorship, opportunities for direct client interaction, and growth within a growing international trade practice; a D.C. Bar admission is required and the position is full-time onsite.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of international trade experience.
  • Experience with U.S. customs and import compliance.
  • Experience with tariff classification, valuation, origin, and/or enforcement.
  • Experience with export controls, sanctions, or CFIUS preferred.
  • J.D. from ABA-accredited law school; DC Bar admission.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

A leading law firm is seeking an International Trade Associate with 3-5 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience. The associate will advise U.S. and multinational clients on sophisticated customs, import compliance, and related international trade matters.

  • Handle tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and enforcement-related matters.
  • Support matters involving export controls, economic sanctions, and CFIUS.
  • Advise clients on related trade and security matters.

  • Develop increasing responsibility and direct client interaction.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant international trade experience.
  • Meaningful experience with U.S. customs and import compliance laws.
  • Experience with tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and/or customs enforcement matters.
  • Experience with export controls, economic sanctions, or CFIUS preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the D.C. Bar required.

Compensation: $225,000-$310,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, training, and skill set.
