Job summary

100KCrossing is seeking lawyers for an international trade practice across two levels in Washington, DC or NYC. The mid-level role (2–4 years) covers customs, import law, and supervision of junior associates; U.S. Court of International Trade experience preferred.

The senior counsel role (6+ years) focuses on U.S.-China trade matters, including tariffs, sanctions, export controls, and WTO law, for multinational clients with China operations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Active law license in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Prior Am Law 100 law firm experience required for mid-level and senior roles.

Job description

An international firm's International Trade practice is hiring across two levels. The mid-level role (2–4 years) focuses on customs and import law, including forced labor, audits, investigations, penalty proceedings, disclosures, valuation, classification, and origin matters, with day-to-day case management and supervision of junior associates; U.S. Court of International Trade experience preferred. The senior counsel role (6+ years) focuses on U.S.-China trade matters — customs, tariffs, export controls, sanctions, and WTO law — for multinational clients with China operations or supply chains, including customs audits, enforcement actions, supply chain strategy, corporate compliance, and cross-border data transfer issues.

Requirements: Bar membership (or eligibility by waiver) for the office location Excellent academic credentials and highly developed writing and analytical skills Senior counsel role requires J.D. or LL.M. from a U.S. law school, knowledge of WTO law, and proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and LEXIS/Westlaw; occasional domestic and international travel

Compensation Base salary ranges vary by level and location — competitive with market for a leading global firm; $230,000–$485,000, plus full benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and discretionary bonus).
