Job summary

SoundExchange offers a 10-week paid internship in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The program provides exposure to the music tech industry, hands-on data work in royalty statements, and leadership engagement across the organization.

• Active enrollment in a degree program (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• Undergraduate students preferred; graduate students may apply.

Responsibilities

• Learn concepts related to neighboring rights, CMOs, and royalty processes.
• Load and organize CMO statements in the Data Visualizer platform.
• Analyze royalty data across years, noting trends by year and usage.
• Identify payment gaps and support budgeting and forecasting models.
• Contribute to data-driven insights and financial planning.
• Present findings at internship conclusion.
