Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an International Student Area Representative to professionally represent the foundation in your community and build relationships with schools and host families. You will locate potential hosts, guide families through the online application at iwanttohost.org, conduct in-home interviews, check references, and lead host family orientations before students arrive.

You will document monthly check-ins with hosts and students online.

Qualifications

  • Must own a computer and have internet access
  • Must have a genuine interest in working with teens and families
  • Must be mature and able to remain objective
  • Must be professional in appearance and in manner
  • Good counseling skills are very helpful in this job
  • Must be critically perceptive and objective in working with potential host families
  • Must be over the age of 25
  • Should be well-networked in their community
  • A sensitivity, understanding and passion for creating global understanding between cultures

About the International Student Area Representative position
Duties
  • Professionally represent Pan Atlantic Foundation in your community
  • Find Hosts, maintain relationships with schools, and raise public awareness about student exchange

Compensation
  • $1000 per placement for academic year student, $800 for one semester student
  • Opportunity for Travel to our Annual Pan Atlantic Foundation Conference!! (all expenses paid!) (Match 4 students with families to Qualify!)
  • Additional Incentives may be offered throughout the year as well
