Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an International Area Representative to represent the organization within the community and recruit host families for student exchange programs. You will lead families to the online application, conduct in-home interviews, and perform host orientation activities.

You will maintain relationships with schools and provide monthly check-ins with hosts and students, documenting progress online.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in working with teens and families.
• Mature, professional demeanor with objective judgment.
• Good counseling skills are helpful for this role.
• Well-networked in the local community and aged 25+.

About the International Area Representative position

Duties

• Professionally represent Pan Atlantic Foundation in your community
• Find Hosts, maintain relationships with schools, and raise public awareness about student exchange
• Lead Host Family to website to complete the online application: iwanttohost.org
• Complete an In-home Interview with the host family and Check References
• Perform a Host Family Orientation before the student arrives
• Monthly Check in – call or visit the Hosts and Student once a month and document online

Compensation

• $1000 per placement for academic year student, $800 for one semester student
• Opportunity for Travel to our Annual Pan Atlantic Foundation Conference!! (all expenses paid!) (Match 4 students with families to Qualify!)
• Additional Incentives may be offered throughout the year as well

Personal Requirements

• Must own a computer and have internet access
• Must have a genuine interest in working with teens and families
• Must be mature and able to remain objective
• Must be professional in appearance and in manner
• Good counseling skills are very helpful in this job
• Must be critically perceptive and objective in working with potential host families
• Must be over the age of 25
• Should be well-networked in their community
• A sensitivity, understanding and passion for creating global understanding between cultures **
