Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation is seeking an International Area Representative to actively represent our organization in communities and recruit hosts for student exchange programs. Responsibilities include building relationships with schools and promoting the program locally, guiding families to apply online, and conducting interviews and references checks.

The role involves coordinating host family orientations and monthly follow-ups to document progress and share outcomes with our team.

• Lead Host Family to website to complete the online application: iwanttohost.org
• Complete an In-home Interview with the host family and Check References
• Perform a Host Family Orientation before the student arrives
• Monthly Check in – call or visit the Hosts and Student once a month and document online

About the International Area Representative position

Duties

• Professionally represent Pan Atlantic Foundation in your community
• Find Hosts, maintain relationships with schools, and raise public awareness about student exchange
• Lead Host Family to website to complete the online application: iwanttohost.org

• Perform a Host Family Orientation before the student arrives
• Monthly Check in – call or visit the Hosts and Student once a month and document online

Compensation

• $1000 per placement for academic year student, $800 for one semester student
• Opportunity for Travel to our Annual Pan Atlantic Foundation Conference!! (all expenses paid!) (Match 4 students with families to Qualify!)
• Additional Incentives may be offered throughout the year as well

Personal Requirements

• Must own a computer and have internet access
• Must have a genuine interest in working with teens and families
• Must be mature and able to remain objective
• Must be professional in appearance and in manner
• Good counseling skills are very helpful in this job
• Must be critically perceptive and objective in working with potential host families
• Must be over the age of 25
• Should be well-networked in their community
• A sensitivity, understanding and passion for creating global understanding between cultures **
