Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an International Area Representative to professionally represent the organization within your community and raise awareness about student exchange programs. You will cultivate relationships with schools, locate hosts, and guide families through online applications at iwanttohost.org.

The role involves screening host families via in-home interviews, checking references, and conducting orientations prior to student arrivals. Regular monthly follow-ups are required.

Qualifications

• Must own a computer and have internet access.
• Must have a genuine interest in working with teens and families.
• Must be mature and able to remain objective.
• Must be professional in appearance and in manner.
• Good counseling skills are very helpful in this job.
• Must be critically perceptive and objective in working with potential host families.
• Must be over the age of 25.
• Should be well-networked in their community.
• A sensitivity, understanding and passion for creating global understanding between cultures.

About the International Area Representative position

Duties

• Professionally represent Pan Atlantic Foundation in your community
• Find Hosts, maintain relationships with schools, and raise public awareness about student exchange
• Lead Host Family to website to complete the online application: iwanttohost.org
• Complete an In-home Interview with the host family and Check References
• Perform a Host Family Orientation before the student arrives
• Monthly Check in – call or visit the Hosts and Student once a month and document online

Compensation

• $1000 per placement for academic year student, $800 for one semester student
• Opportunity for Travel to our Annual Pan Atlantic Foundation Conference!! (all expenses paid!) (Match 4 students with families to Qualify!)
• Additional Incentives may be offered throughout the year as well
