Job summary

UNICEF seeks an International Consultant to refine and implement the School-Based Teacher Professional Development Model in Nigeria, based in Abuja with remote work and regular travel to states.

Under supervision of the Education Chief, you will lead training workshops, develop online content, and provide technical support to States implementing STPD, collaborating with government partners and UNICEF teams.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English with strong written and oral skills.
• Formal teaching qualification and experience in teacher education.
• Experience leading multi-cultural teams and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Refine the STPD handbook and headteacher/teacher manuals.
• Support the STPD technical group and provide input for online portal content.
• Lead train-the-trainer workshops for master trainers on head teacher and teacher manuals.
• Provide ongoing technical support to States implementing STPD.
