Working across industries such as energy, telecommunications, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure, you will manage complex international sales cycles and strategic customer relationships. You will also oversee critical business risks involving international contracts, payment terms, geopolitical developments, logistics, and supply chain operations. In addition to driving commercial growth, you will build and lead a regional team, developing talent and strengthening local market capabilities. This fully remote opportunity offers significant autonomy, international exposure, and the opportunity to shape business expansion across global markets.

Accountabilities
  • International Market Development & Strategic Expansion

    • Identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion through direct sales, distributors, agents, strategic partnerships, and project-based bidding.
    • Build, develop, and maintain a strong international customer network, leveraging relationships with major state-owned enterprises, government-backed organizations, and large-scale engineering projects where relevant.
    • Identify and engage potential customers through international trade exhibitions, professional associations, B2B platforms, LinkedIn, local chambers of commerce, and government agencies.
    • Define and manage Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP) for assigned markets, analyzing customer decision-making structures, procurement processes, business challenges, and demand drivers.
    • Evaluate market size, growth potential, competitive positioning, profitability, and regulatory conditions to identify the most attractive business opportunities.
  • Sales Execution & Business Growth
    • Lead new market development initiatives from initial market assessment through customer acquisition and commercial expansion.
    • Establish the first customer relationships and generate initial business opportunities in new international markets.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional revenue, profitability, and business development objectives.
    • Recruit, onboard, train, manage, and motivate international distributors, agents, and channel partners.
    • Monitor channel partner performance and implement strategies to strengthen commercial effectiveness and long-term business relationships.
    • Coordinate local marketing, brand awareness, and product promotion campaigns in alignment with global positioning and commercial objectives.
  • International Business & Risk Management
    • Monitor geopolitical developments, political stability, international relations, trade restrictions, sanctions, and macroeconomic conditions that could affect international business operations.
    • Identify potential commercial and operational risks and develop proactive contingency plans to protect business continuity.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate international sales contract provisions, including governing law, arbitration arrangements, intellectual property protection, liabilities, breach penalties, and force majeure clauses.
    • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and manage international payment risks by assessing payment structures such as prepayment, Letters of Credit (L/C), documentary collection, and open-account arrangements.
    • Select and negotiate appropriate payment terms to balance commercial competitiveness with financial security.
    • Oversee international logistics and supply chain risks, including port disruptions, shipping delays, and raw material shortages.
    • Ensure appropriate cargo insurance coverage and coordinate the management of shipment damage, loss claims, and related disputes.
  • Regional Team Leadership
    • Build, develop, and lead a regional team of approximately 10 employees as the business expands.
    • Recruit and onboard team members while establishing clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and operational priorities.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to strengthen team capabilities and achieve regional business objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven working environment across geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant STEM discipline is preferred.
  • Candidates with degrees in International Economics and Trade, Business Administration, or Languages such as English, French, or Spanish are also encouraged to apply.
