Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 90-day Internal Temporary Traveler assignment in Massachusetts. The role involves day and night shifts, with roughly 36 hours per week and every-other-weekend/holiday rotations.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy. Massachusetts license and ACLS due within three months. RRT certification preferred; CRT accepted with RRT within a year.

The Internal Temporary Traveler Respiratory Therapist Staffing Program participant adheres to the agreed upon parameters of the program. The 90 day assignment hours are 36 hours or 24 Hours per week; includes every other weekend and holiday rotations. Day and Night shifts available.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Respiratory Therapy and receives day to day oversight from the Respiratory Supervisors. The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs respiratory care related duties to all age groups. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for direct patient care within their scope of services in accordance with state licensure, and the Registration Board of Respiratory Care. The Respiratory Care Practitioner works under physician orders, follows departmental and Lahey Hospital & Medical Center policies. The Respiratory Care Practitioner utilizes a high level of critical thinking skills, must have the ability to apply the appropriate best-practice, be objective and receptive to others’ points of view with regard to patient care issues.
Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Minimal Computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowlegde of PC’s.
Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
Ability to impart specialized clinical and medical information to members of the health care team; physician, nurses
Experience as a Staff Respiratory Therapist with a focus on critical care preferred
$69.36 - $79.56
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
