Job summary

ELANTAS is seeking a Manager, Customer Service & Inside Sales in Schenectady, NY to lead a local team of Customer Account Specialists handling quotations and sales orders for domestic and international customers. You will serve as the primary contact and escalation point and collaborate with production, shipping, finance, quality, and sales.

The role emphasizes coaching, developing procedures, ensuring cross-functional communication, and leveraging SAP to drive reporting and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or communications is preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Export experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel required.

The Manager, Customer Service & Inside Sales leads local team of dedicated Customer Account Specialists supporting quotations and sales orders for both domestic and international customers. Serves as key contact and escalation point for both internal and external customers. Cross-functional communication and collaboration are key to success for this role.

• Leads and manages local team based out of Schenectady, NY site supporting order processing and other customer-facing activities.
• Responsible for individual coaching and development of team members, including development and maintenance of department-specific procedures.
• Meets and coordinates with external customers as well as internal functions including Production, Shipping, Finance, Quality, external Sales, and others.
• Key user of internal systems, especially SAP.
• Generate reports and present data related to the function to internal stakeholders.
• Support other local and regional teams as required.

Your profile

Qualification, Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications majors preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Certification: CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or able to obtain the certification within 12 months.
• Previous Export experience a plus.
• Proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet applications required (MS Word & Excel preferred). Familiarity with manufacturing software applications is preferred.
