Job summary

The Ohio State University East Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the East Nursing Services team. You will manage and deliver patient-centered care, assess needs, and coordinate nursing activities with the care team.

This intermittent, part-time role supports the First Shift with a focus on quality outcomes and safety, working within the professional practice model to guide patient care.

Qualifications

• Two-year nursing degree or equivalent with a major in nursing.
• Licensed in Ohio and current status to practice.
• Experience in relevant care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide direct patient and family care aligned with care plans.
• Supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives within the unit.

The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.Minimum Education Required2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursingRequired QualificationsDegree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required.
