The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Internal Resource Pool Nurse for the Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Unit. The Staff Nurse will manage and coordinate nursing care for patients and their families, supervise staff, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

This intermittent, 0.2 FTE position on rotating shifts requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, an Ohio license or interim permit, and experience in relevant care

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient?s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care. Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
