Job summary

American University is seeking a Principal Outreach Partner within ORSA to serve as the internal communicator and campus connector for the AU research community. You will develop newsletters, guide faculty and staff on policies, and translate institutional requirements into accessible guidance.

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Communications, the role emphasizes hands-on support, one-on-one coaching, and cross-unit engagement to improve research administration services and communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience with research administration or higher-ed support.
Strong written communication and newsletters/communication experience.
Familiarity with IRB/human subjects/data security is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and produce internal research newsletters.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, ADRs, and research staff across the university.
Communicate policy changes and guidance to faculty and staff.
Provide one-on-one and group walkthroughs and guidance on research tools and systems.
Maintain up-to-date webpages and training materials for accuracy and accessibility.
