Fortune Brands Innovations in Butler, Indiana, is seeking a safety-minded individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring daily production demands are met while upholding PIT safety standards.

You will move products with sit-down, stand-up, and walkie-style trucks, use handheld scanners and systems like Great Plains, E-21 and MES, participate in daily PIT inspections, and collaborate with the team to maintain accurate

ABOUT THE JOB

In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure safe material handling duties. Our fast-paced work environment requires that our forklift and other powered industrial trucks are operated in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a key role in ensuring we meet daily production demands while also complying with our expectations for safe PIT operation.

Your Role

• Move product utilizing various types of powered industrial trucks, including sit down, stand up, and walkie-style.


• Utilize Handheld scanner and E-21 or Great Plains to accurately place and retrieve needed materials in a timely manner.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience


• Ability to obtain Fork Lift Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

• Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $47,860 USD - $57,200 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
