Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. in Indiana seeks an Internal Posting-PIT/MH Operator 1st Stock to safely operate forklifts and other PIT equipment while meeting daily production demands.

You will perform PIT inspections, use handheld scanners and inventory systems, and collaborate with the team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Base pay range is $47,860 to $57,200 per year with eligible bonus programs and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain Fork Lift Certification.
• Experience operating a powered industrial truck is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial truck – always prioritising associate safety over output.
• Move product using sit down and stand up forklifts.
• Use handheld scanner and inventory systems (E-21, Great Plains, MES) to place/retrieve materials accurately.
• Perform daily PIT inspections.
• Other duties as assigned by area Supervisor or Group Lead.

ABOUT THE JOB

In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure safe material handling duties. Our fast-paced work environment requires that our forklift and other powered industrial trucks are operated in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a key role in ensuring we meet daily production demands while also complying with our expectations for safe PIT operation.

YOUR ROLE:

The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different directions with tasks added or changed.

• Safely operate powered industrial truck - always putting associate safety above production output.
• Move product utilizing various types of powered industrial trucks, including sit down, and stand up.
• Utilize Handheld scanner and E-21 or Great Plains to accurately place and retrieve needed materials in a timely manner.
• Responsible for daily PIT Inspections.
• Other duties as assigned or defined by the area Supervisor or Group Lead.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience
• Ability to obtain Fork Lift Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $47,860 USD - $57,200 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
