State of South Carolina seeks a program director to lead the SCORE Oyster Recycling and Enhancement program, coordinating community-based and large-scale habitat restoration across the state.
The role requires overseeing staff, managing contracts and grants, and coordinating with agencies, partners, and the public to advance restoration initiatives.
The employee will direct the South Carolina Oyster Recycling and Enhancement (SCORE) Program and coordinate community-based and large-scale habitat restoration projects throughout South Carolina.
A master's degree in biology, chemistry or wildlife management and two (2) years of experience in fish, wildlife or marine management or research programs; or a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, wildlife management or related technical area and four (4) years of experience in fish, wildlife or marine management or research programs.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work under adverse conditions including high heat and humidity. Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends and long work days as required by field schedule.
