Job summary

The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Visitor Experience Associate. You will greet visitors, answer questions, and guide guests while selling admissions, program tickets, and memberships using Tessitura.

Responsibilities include seating patrons, scanning tickets, and light cleaning between screenings. Other duties involve crowd monitoring for safety, handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and building knowledge of event details.

• Assist in crowd monitoring for safety concerns and emergency situations.
• Respond to general inquiries and feedback from guests and members on site.
• Resolve customer concerns in a polite and professional manner.
• Learn and provide thorough knowledge of general event and facility information for visitors.
• Collect survey data from exiting visitors, follow detailed research protocols including careful documentation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Ability to see details on a computer screen for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using a keyboard and mouse with repetitive hand and finger movements.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

This position is considered part-time, non-exempt. As a non-exempt position, it is eligible for overtime pay. The compensation for this role is $18.10 hourly.

This position is covered by the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME) labor contract.

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
