Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in Englewood, Colorado is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, equipment sanitation, and patient care from intake to discharge.

You will assist with restraining, medication administration, minor procedures, record keeping, and client communication, contributing to compassionate, high-quality care for every patient.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs on arrival.
• Triage, perform basic exams, and assist with medications as directed by LVT/DVM.
• Calm anxious patients and assist with restraints.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient handling.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs as needed.
• Maintain equipment, kennels, and hospital cleanliness daily.
• Fill prescriptions, document medications, and manage records.

Skills

Veterinary Assistant experience

Internal Medicine experience preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
