PetVet Care Centers' VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, seeks an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift) to join our team and help care for patients alongside our veterinarians and technicians.

This role involves assisting with daily tasks, maintaining equipment, preparing surgeries, restraining patients, and performing clerical duties to ensure smooth hospital operations—all while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient and client.

Qualifications

• Veterinary experience required.
• Emergency / Specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, check weight and vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams and treatments per licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain hospital equipment and monitor anesthesia-related devices.
• Keep accurate medical records and document controlled drugs.
