Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their Internal Medicine department.

As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will liaise between our internists and clients regarding histories, care instructions, lab results, and updates, and assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures.

This position emphasizes anesthesia, phlebotomy, radiology, and accurate medical math, with opportunities for growth within Mars Veterinary Health.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT certification required.
• Experience with anesthesia and phlebotomy preferred.
• Strong client communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures.
• Fill prescriptions, take X-rays and collect lab samples.
• Communicate histories, care instructions, and lab results to clients.
• Demonstrate insulin injections, SQ fluids, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Support internal medicine team and other duties as assigned.
