Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Arden Hills, MN is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department. As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will be a liaison between our internists and clients, handling histories, care instructions, lab results, and updates, with direct client contact via phone, email, and in person.

You will assist with anesthesia, phlebotomy, ultrasound and endoscopic procedures, fill prescriptions, take x-rays, and obtain

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary technician with clinical anesthesia experience.
• Proficient in phlebotomy, radiography and ultrasound.
• Strong client communication and manual skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor anesthesia, including induction and recovery.
• Perform CRI calculations and medical math for dosing.
• Assist with ultrasound, radiology and endoscopic procedures.
• Interact with clients to explain histories, care and test results.
• Discharge patients with basic education and follow-up instructions.
