Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. The role supports internists, helps manage patient care, and focuses on building strong client relationships during longer treatment processes.

You will set up ultrasound and radiology procedures, assist with endoscopic procedures, handle appointments, document medical records accurately, and guide client education upon discharge.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Previous internal medicine experience preferred.
• Proficient in drug calculations and related calculations.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours as needed.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patients information.
• Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records.
• Patient discharge and client education.
