Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Internal Medicine department in Peabody, MA. The role is full-time, with a 40-hour weekly schedule (7:30AM-6PM), and involves delivering high-quality patient care, education, and care coordination within a collaborative care model.

The ideal candidate will have a state-authorized nursing degree, MA license, BLS, EMR experience, and strong critical thinking. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted nursing license in Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Up to date with current nursing standards in the specialty.
• Computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
• EMR experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families, providing education and managing care transitions
• Deliver patient care and follow-up in alignment with RN protocols, including medication administration and chronic disease management
• Conduct telephone triage, elevate concerns appropriately, and support the clinical team with ongoing care coordination
• Perform clinical procedures and manage acute conditions during patient visits, ensuring timely documentation in the EMR
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, mentor nursing staff, and uphold high standards of patient service and safety
