Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL seeks a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program Director to establish and lead a new residency program. The leader will oversee governance, compliance, and strategic development to ensure high-quality education and patient care.

The role requires board certification in PM&R, a minimum of three years of core faculty or associate PD experience in an ACGME PM&R residency, and active scholarly work.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as physician core faculty or associate program director in an ACGME accredited PM&R residency program.
• Program Director must have specialty expertise and demonstrated educational/administrative abilities.
• Must participate in ongoing scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications.
• Schedule: 50% clinical (night/weekend coverage) and 50% GME focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, organization, operation and general administration of the residency program.
• Lead strategic direction of the program and uphold standards, quality and reputation.
• Integrate residency program with physician practices and hospital services to enhance value and Graduate Medical Education environment.
