Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, assess and treat patients, educate families, maintain records, and collaborate on referrals while following safety standards and CMS/JCAHO guidelines.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine licensed and board eligible or board certified Upon Hire
• Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine licensed and board eligible or board certified Upon Hire
• Federal Drug Enforcement Admin (DEA) license based on state of practice Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical staff-approved protocol and standards
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families
• Maintain patient records and ensure referrals for care as needed
• Collaborate with care team to promote quality patient care and safety
