CARES Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and collaborative Internal Medicine Physician to join our growing healthcare team. We are looking for a physician with extensive experience caring for individuals living with HIV and Hepatitis C, as well as experience with PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis).The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIV and Hepatitis C care and be passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare. This position will also include primary care services, allowing the physician to provide holistic care to a diverse patient population.Our team values collaboration, communication, and a supportive approach to patient care. We are looking for a physician who enjoys working closely with providers, medical assistants, care coordinators, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure patients receive high-quality, coordinated care.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in an outpatient setting.Provide ongoing HIV primary care and management, including antiretroviral therapy and monitoring.Evaluate and treat patients with Hepatitis C, including treatment management and follow-up.Provide PrEP and PEP services, including counseling, initiation, monitoring, and follow-up.Provide general internal medicine and primary care services, including preventive care and management of acute and chronic conditions.Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients.Monitor laboratory results, medications, and treatment response.Provide sexual health and STI evaluation, testing, treatment, and prevention services as appropriate.Coordinate care with case managers, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.Participate in a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.Promote health education, prevention, and patient engagement.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other clinic programs as needed.QualificationsRequired:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.Current and unrestricted Oklahoma medical license, or eligibility for Oklahoma licensure.Extensive clinical experience caring for individuals living with HIV.Significant experience diagnosing and treating Hepatitis C.Experience providing PrEP and PEP services.Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Preferred:10+ years of experience in HIV primary care and infectious disease-related care.Experience working with patients who have complex medical and social needs.Experience in sexual health and STI care.Experience in community health, Ryan White-funded programs, or other HIV-focused healthcare settings.Interest or experience in providing comprehensive primary care in addition to HIV specialty care.The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a physician who:Brings extensive hands-on experience providing HIV and Hepatitis C care.Is confident managing complex HIV patients and stays current with evolving treatment recommendations and best practices.Enjoys building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients.Is interested in providing primary care in addition to HIV and Hepatitis C services.Values a team-based, collaborative approach to healthcare and works effectively across disciplines.Communicates openly, respectfully, and professionally with colleagues and patients.Is approachable, dependable, and willing to collaborate with all members of the clinic team.Is passionate about reducing barriers to healthcare and improving health outcomes for underserved populations.Thrives in a supportive environment where providers and staff work together to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.Employer StatementTulsa CARES is the largest and most comprehensive provider of prevention and care programs serving low income individuals living with HIV and Hepatitis C in Oklahoma.
