Job summary

SAC Health is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for Barstow, CA. The PA will provide direct patient care to adults, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses under physician supervision, and contribute to a team-based, full-scope care model at our Barstow clinic.

The role emphasizes serving uninsured and underinsured populations, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day. Requires California PA license and DEA, plus 1+ year in Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

• Masters of Physician Assistant Sciences completed with clinical rotations in relevant fields.
• California PA license and DEA license are required.
• 1+ year of internal medicine experience preferred for outpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to adults with acute and chronic conditions.
• Order tests, interpret results, and manage treatment plans under physician supervision.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients on health and wellness.
• Document care using EHR and maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver patient education to families and ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to infection control policies and participate in team-based care.
